Why Do People not Demand Better Everything?

The major institutions of our society have stated organizing principles through which they are sold to the public. The United States government for example is founded under the following general principles implied by the Declaration of Independence" "[T]o secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men": "all men are created equal,..they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."  They derive "their just powers from the consent of the governed" and "whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness." These thoughts still fresh in their minds, the Founding Fathers went on to write the Constitution of the United States, the Preamble of which runs as follows:

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Basically, in contrast to Europe's ideas of top down authority as exemplified by the idea of the "Divine Right of Kings", the founders of the United States Government were asserting the Divine Right of the Individual and his sovereignty. The government would then be a delegation of that sovereignty to the state for the mutual benefit of the society of individuals.

How do all these ideas add up in action?

Today, the average citizen is lulled into unawareness and inaction by a modern equivalent of 'bread and circuses', which are the electronic media. We have actors who reading their lines well, pose as pundits. The public believes them and accepts their idiot and comical portrayal of public figures that their system has black balled. These actors are unfunny clowns. The only laughs that they get are from recorded laugh tracks, and those of morons whose only source of information is cheap entertainment. Meanwhile, behind the scenes operatives of agencies having a special agendas that they would impose on the public, travel internationally to meet, compare notes, discuss results of previous actions, and devise a common strategy of propaganda to steer humans in a desired direction. That is their profession, for which they are well paid. They write extensively about what they do, knowing well that the public that they are manipulating does not read and so cannot know of their efforts. The results of their actions show up internationally as apparently random events. Yet looking carefully at these events reveals clear patterns of coordination.

Who Ordered That?

In a restaurant, if you receive something that you did not order, you send it back. In public life, people are accepting all kinds of things that they did not order. In the past, Europeans fought back. In the early 700s AD Muslims crossed over to Spain from North Africa and invaded Europe from there. Europeans did not order this, so they sent the Muslims back to North Africa. In 732, An army of Frenchmen led by Charles Martel sent them back at the Battle of Tours. The Spaniards took a bit longer, sending them back in 1492. The same thing happened in Italy a bit later, but with similar results. Today, we see a new Muslim invasion of Europe that Europeans have not ordered. They did not order it, but their governments did. Europeans have not sent the Muslims back, those who speak of this in public may be censured by their government. Why did medieval kings and knights defend their subjects against the Muslim invasion, yet in modern times, "representative" governments invite, cater to, and force the population to yield to such an invasion? Has the Western World really progressed? Or is it kidding itself?
